ClimeFi launches Due Diligence Coverage platform for carbon removal buyers

The all-new platform enables free access to the executive summaries of our Due Diligence Coverage for qualified buyers, levelling the playing field across the ecosystem

We are pleased to share that ClimeFi has officially launched our Due Diligence Coverage platform, giving qualified buyers access to our entire database of carbon removal project assessments.

Qualified buyers can now access the executive summaries of ClimeFi’s Due Diligence Coverage for free. This allows corporate sustainability leaders and carbon removal buyers to vet projects with greater speed and certainty.

Increasing market transparency

By providing consistent, independent assessments of carbon removal projects, ClimeFi aims to reduce market uncertainty by providing the necessary information to support decision making over multi-year buyer commitments.

“In a market that has long been hampered by information asymmetry, many long-term procurement decisions are still being made based on incomplete or fragmented data.” said Paolo Piffaretti, CEO and Co-Founder at ClimeFi. “ClimeFi’s new platform looks to address this gap by providing a transparent and easily accessible lens through which to seize the rapidly evolving landscape of carbon removal projects.”

Rigorous due diligence with dynamic monitoring

ClimeFi assesses each carbon removal project against three core pillars: Carbon Integrity, Delivery Risk, and Beyond Carbon considerations. Based on the outcome of this due diligence, ClimeFi assigns an Analyst Rating, providing a structured, comparable view designed to support decision-making over multi-year commitments.

Uniquely, ClimeFi’s coverage is updated on an ongoing basis. This monitoring ensures that companies have access to the latest commercial insights, verification progress, and latest supplier level trends. Projects are added or removed from Due Diligence Coverage dynamically, reflecting the real world shifts in project performance and risk profiles.

ClimeFi currently tracks over 500 carbon removal suppliers across the market. From this pool, it has conducted due diligence on over 100 suppliers, and maintains active coverage on approximately 70 projects at any given time.
